A focal unit receives, handles and exchanges information with Standing Office 81 within its ministry, sector or locality. Regular duties include:

  • Submitting periodic reports for each reporting period opened on the Agency portal.
  • Sending suspicious information when signs of proliferation or its financing are detected.
  • Commenting on draft instruments when invited.
  • Receiving risk alerts and implementing them within its area of management.
  • Cooperating in verification on request.

Articles 27 and 28 of Law No. 13/2026/QH16 provide the basis for information and data sharing and for the national database on countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
