What is a risk alert, and who issues one?
Unofficial translation from the Vietnamese original.
Clause 13, Article 3 of Law No. 13/2026/QH16 defines a risk alert as information, indications, indicators or recommendations provided, exchanged, published or established by a competent Vietnamese authority, a competent foreign authority, an international organisation or an international cooperation mechanism, to support identification, assessment, prevention, detection and handling of proliferation and proliferation financing risks.
Article 29 covers early warning of such risks; an alert is a basis for the competent authority to request further information and to apply control measures under Article 12(4) and Article 14.
