Standing Office 81 is the standing body of Viet Nam's National Focal Point on Countering the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Under Article 31 of Law No. 13/2026/QH16, the National Focal Point is the Ministry of National Defence, responsible for advising and assisting the Government in directing, coordinating, monitoring and consolidating the national situation, and for guiding implementation and the application of counter-proliferation measures.

Day-to-day work includes coordination among ministries, sectors and localities; monitoring and updating the list of designated entities and individuals; developing and updating the control list; issuing risk alerts; training on dual-use goods identification; consolidating national reports; and acting as the focal point for international cooperation.
