a. Bột niken có cả hai đặc tính sau đây:
1. Độ tinh khiết niken bằng hoặc lớn hơn 99.0% theo khối lượng; và
2. Kích thước hạt trung bình nhỏ hơn 10 µm đo theo tiêu chuẩn B 330 của Hiệp hội Thử nghiệm
và Vật liệu Hoa Kỳ (ASTM);
b. Kim loại niken xốp được sản xuất từ vật liệu được quy định tại Mục 2.C.16.a.
Chú thích: Mục 2.C.16. không kiểm soát các mặt hàng sau đây:
a. Bột niken dạng sợi;
b. Tấm kim loại niken xốp đơn lẻ có diện tích bằng hoặc nhỏ hơn 1000 cm² mỗi tấm.
Chú thích kỹ thuật: Mục 2.C.16.b. đề cập đến kim loại xốp được tạo thành bằng cách ép và thiêu kết vật liệu tại Mục 2.C.16.a. để tạo thành vật liệu kim loại có các lỗ xốp mịn liên thông trong toàn bộ cấu trúc.

2. A mean particle size of less than 10 µm measured by the American Society for Testing
and Materials (ASTM) B 330 standard;
b. Porous nickel metal produced from materials specified in Item 2.C.16.a.
Note: Item 2.C.16. does not control the following:
a. Filamentary nickel powders;
b. Single porous nickel metal sheets with an area of 1000 cm² per sheet or less.
Technical Note: Item 2.C.16.b. refers to porous metal formed by compacting and sintering the material in Item 2.C.16.a. to form a metal material with fine pores interconnected throughout the structure.
